Ferrari 488 Pista ‘Piloti Ferrari’ specification revealed

Extremely-limited variant of Italian supercar available only to customers of the firm’s motorsport programmes

It’s the 24 Hours of Le Mans this weekend and Ferrari is opening it in style by revealing this — the 488 Pista ‘Piloti Ferrari’.

This limited-edition variant of the supercar is available exclusively to customers involved with its motorsport programmes and brings a racing-inspired look to the track-focused machine.

The car’s livery features an Italian flag-inspired stripe down the centre of the machine — mimicking that of the 488 GTE race car that won the World Endurance Championship constructor’s title in 2017 — along with a golden wreath decal.

Each customer will also be able to specify the number on the side of the car — here revealed with the 51 used by Ferrari’s GTE car. A carbon fibre rear spoiler and vent surrounds complete the package, which can be ordered in Rosso Corsa, Blu Tour De France, Nero Daytona or Argento Nürburgring colours.

Inside, the Alcantara-upholstered bucket seats feature a perforated Italian flag at the bottom of the backrest.

Italian flags also appear on the paddle shifters, while interior personalisation is completed by an exclusive identification plate.

The car is mechanically identical to the existing 488 Pista, meaning it’s still powered by a 3.9-litre turbocharged V8 engine developing 710bhp.

As for price? We suspect if you have to ask, you can’t afford it…
