Find out how much you can save on a new Mazda

Mazda is one of the latest manufacturers to offer a scrappage scheme. Called the ‘Upgrade Plan’, the Mazda incentive is all about getting buyers to choose lower emission cars, with CO2 outputs of below 130g/km.

Here’s our in-depth guide to how it works.

What is the Mazda Scrappage Scheme?

The Upgrade Plan applies across four different models in the Mazda range – the 2, 3, 6, the CX-3 and CX-5.

Savings apply to petrol versions of the Mazda 2, 3 and 6, and to diesel variants of the 3, 6, CX-3 and CX-5.

The savings apply if you dispose of a car first registered before 31 December 2009 and traded in at a participating Mazda dealer before 30 June 2018, but you can only take advantage of the scheme if buying a car with CO2 emissions of below 130g/km.

The smallest saving - £3,000 - applies to the Mazda 2, while you can save up to £5,000 on a Mazda and a Mazda 6 ( Diesel SKYACTIV-D)
