Inspired by the N high-performance model, the N Line model is paired with a 1.4-litre turbo petrol engine producing 138bhp.

Hyundai has unveiled its first N Line model for the European market, with the i30 hatchback gaining new design features and performance upgrades.

Following on from the i30 N hot hatch, the i30 N Line comes with upgraded suspension, brakes and engine response to add some vigour to the standard five-door model.

The South Korean brand has also added new front and rear bumpers, exclusive 18-inch alloys and a twin exhaust muffler alongside the N Line badging to further distinguish it from the normal version.

Under the bonnet is a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 138bhp, with performance further enhanced by larger brakes and Michelin performance tyres.

Inside, Hyundai has added N-branded suede sports seats, a perforated leather sport steering wheel and the gear stick taken from the i30 N.

Andreas-Christoph Hofmann, Hyundai Europe vice president marketing and product, said: “Our i30 N has been hugely successful since launch, showcasing our capabilities in high-performance engineering and emotionalising our brand with its fun-to-drive factor.

“Now we are extending that feeling to a wider audience with the new i30 N Line. We believe the comprehensive package of design and engineering enhancements will continue to attract more new customers to the Hyundai brand in Europe.”

The i30 N Line will be on sale later this summer.
